“What do I have to offer my prospects, besides my company's awesome opportunity, to have them to join me, if I am not able to say I am a big trainer or I have not made a ton of money?”

There are 3 simple things you can do on a daily basis to entice your prospects to get started with you.

Celebrate every single win even if they seem tiny.

Your prospects and the people on your list are watching you. So whether it is your first lead or the first person to get started with you, celebrate that by sending out an email even if its the tiniest thing.

Celebrate the winning moments of your team members.

The second thing is that you have people all over your company that are experiencing tremendous wins. Celebrate the winning moments of your team members. Celebrate anything from generating their first lead to making their first sale or their first $5000 month. Send that information out!

There is nothing wrong with “piggy backing” on the success of the successful leaders in your company, while creating your own success. Celebrating other team member’s wins is attractive to your prospects! You are where you are because of the people you have aligned yourself with.

Get to a company event.

Get to an event, grab a leader in your business and do a video with them. Ask them questions as they relate to the secret of their success or the turning point in their business. Attending company events and interviewing leaders makes you real, lets your prospects know that you are taking your business serious, and they know you are working alongside that leader to get where you want to be and to help your prospects get from where they are now to where they want to be.

You Got the Gold

Normally, I talk about how to build your business, but today I have a different type of message for you.

It's the beloved fable of the Goose who laid golden eggs and how it relates to your health and your wealth.

The fable begins with a family whose goose would lay one beautiful golden egg each day. Over time the family got fabulously wealthy. However, the family thought, “Why should we wait an entire day to get one beautiful golden egg?”

So, they cut the goose open in hopes to get all the eggs at once. Well, you know what happened. They killed the goose. This family hoped to gain all their riches immediately by cutting open the goose and deprived themselves of the gain they were assured every day.

There are multiple variations of this fable but I want to ask you this question. Who is the golden goose in your life and in your business?

You are, of course.

Self-care is essential in both health and wealth. It is imposible to run a 6, 7, 8-figure businesses without being healthy.

You cannot make huge strides in your businesses until you take care of yourself.

Be conscience of what goes on in your head.

If you are constantly telling yourself, someday, or I can’t, or other negative self talk, you are going to want to correct that and here is why. Make your mental self-care a priority.

You are enough! You are so incredibly enough you can achieve anything you want. I promise you this.

If you are working tirelessly, you need to get up and move, meditate, and eat well. Take care of your physical body.

It’s an Olympic year and I love everything about them. While watching the Olympic trials, I realized there are 5 major similarities between Olympic athletes and successful home business entrepreneur.


Extraordinary Focus, Visualization and Meditation

Years before they Olympians compete there is an unrelenting focus on winning the gold, they focus on their physical goals, but even more important is focusing on the mental part of their game. These athletes spend quality time visualizing and meditating on their craft with the help of coaches and consultants in order to achieve their dreams.I don’t know one successful home business entrepreneur who doesn’t do the same thing. Visualization and meditation help retain focus.

Focus on Personal Development

All opportunities agree on this, you must develop yourself and have a sense of who you are and how you communicate with others. Personal development is directly related to the money you make. Olympic athletes are constantly developing their inner game because they know their mindset plays a heavy roll in winning the competition.

Focus on Executing The Things That Get Results

As Entrepreneurs we focus on Income producing activities. You can do all the visualization and meditation and personal development you need, but if you are not doing the things that make you money every day they will come and take your furniture.

Our income producing activity is simple: find leads, put information in front of the leads and following up with those leads. Our income producing activity is easy to understand.

The Olympic athletes income producing activity is going to the gym, pool, track, etc. Doing the things they need to do to refine their craft and refine their bodies so that when they show up to a competition they are at their peak.

Stay In the Game

to live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong.To be successful means being involved in your company’s calls, participate in Facebook groups and attending meetings. The number one catalyst for your success is to get to your company’s events.

Obviously, it is the same for Olympic athletes. They have to show up to practice, show up for their meets, show up for their coaching program and show up to the Olympics. These athletes are not going to win a gold medal if they don’t show up.

See Yourself as a Leader

You must see yourself as a leader now! Those leaders in your company are the same as you. The sooner you incorporate that in your mind and heart the sooner you will be a leader too. Look at the other people who have already achieved what you want to achieve, do what they do, and you can have their results.

Olympic athletes show up as leaders in their field of competition. They show up as winners!

I was thinking about all the different stories we tell ourselves and how we can actually change the stories we tell ourselves and change our results. It's really the stories we tell ourselves that impact our results.

Let me relate a couple of incidents of how telling yourself a better story will give you better results…

While Don and I were in Puerto Rico we passed the pool, where a lot of the top earners in the industry were hanging out, our friend said to his wife, “Someday we might be able to be just like them.” She brilliantly replied, “If you constantly think you are different from these top earners, than you are never gonna have their results.”

Instantly something switched in his head and he went on to make millions and millions in the industry.

Personally, I have always been terrible at sports that involved anything with hitting balls. I have told myself this story… “I am no good at sports where I have to hit a ball. for years and years.

Don and I live in Palm Springs, which has about a gazillion golf courses, so… we thought that we would take golf lessons so that we could get out there on the course and have some fun.

Better StoriesBut golf involves hitting balls! So, I thought that I would change that story.

All of you who golf, know you have to hit a lot of balls before you actually go out and golf. While learning to hit the ball, I told myself, I am an amazing golfer. Over and over…changing my story.

At first the results surprised me, but my swing improved and I became good at hitting the ball simply by changing how I told my story.

How do you meet these people? The best way is to “play up” is increase your charisma and presence. Work on being very present! When engaging with others who are where you want to be, simply look for ways that you can add value to their lives whether it’s your boss, your colleagues, your prospects, or your customers.

I just heard one of the kookiest reasons for not getting started doing something online from someone I have known and respected for a long time. She said to me, Karla, I just don't see how I can create the income that I want to create because I don't have an email list and I think I'll need an email list of over at 10,000 people or 20,000 people to create the kind of financial results I want to create.”

 

I thought there is so much faulty thinking with that particular statement.

 

Let’s talk about the importance of email marketing.

 

There are all kinds of list: the people who follow you on Facebook, on Twitter, on LinkedIn, on Instagram, on Periscope, and on YouTube. There is also your email list. Those people you are building a relationship with are extraordinary valuable.

 

Here’s the cold hard fact. You MUST collect email addresses from the people that visit your websites (or blog or social media pages), because one thing is certain… they will never come back.

 

Even if you are the biggest marketer in the world, the most amazing blogger, creative amazing YouTube videos, or Facebook posts, maybe they will return, but probably not.

 

You have to build a relationship. They need to know they can trust you before they buy anything from you.

When Would be a Good Time to Start Building Your List?

If you want a 100-foot tree in your backyard, when would have been the best time to plant that tree? The best time would have been 50 years ago, but when's the second best time? The second best time is today.

 

And while yes, if you would have started building your email list 15 years ago you have a list of hundreds of thousands of people at this point. When is the second best time to start your email list? That is today!

 

And just think of it this way if you only generate 3 leads a day in the next 30 days you would have 90 leads; in three months you would have 270 leads. And 270 leads is way more valuable than 1000 and 1000 is way more valuable than 50,000.

 

Small Lists Are VALUABLE

 

Let me explain, if you have a list of 10,000 people, that list is not 10X more responsive than a list of 1000 people. If you have a list of 1000 people, that list is not 10X more responsive than a list of 100 people. It just doesn't work that way. For some reason in the Internet marketing world, the smaller the list the more income is typically generated out of that list.

Don and I had a list of 500-600 people that we just nurtured along and we ended up generating an income of over $100,000 with that list. It might have been between 500 and 600, but it was a very small list that we had just begun contributing to steadily over time.

 

Again, I believe that your list is your personal ATM machine. This is your way to communicate with those individuals and build their know, like, and trust factor with your prospects.
