Inspiration Mondays – FREEDOM!

Here in the United States, we’re celebrating our FREEDOM this Thursday.

I don’t know about you, but my #1 goal is FREEDOM.

FREEDOM from worry about bills and monetary responsibilities.
FREEDOM to do what I want when I want.
FREEDOM to travel the world whenever and whenever I want.
FREEDOM to have, do and be whatever I want.
FREEDOM to give back to the world in a big way.

For me, to have the kind of FREEDOM I’m looking for, I must be wealthy.

The most powerful turning point in my life was when I realized that — if I wanted to become wealthy — the smartest thing I could do was to quit my job.

One of the smartest and most successful men on the planet explains why in this video:

Of course, it’s not my place to tell you that you should quit your job.

But I will say this: for ME…..I would not have stretched myself and worked as hard to become successful if I’d had the security blanket and safety-net of a salary.

Besides….

Life is short. It’s way shorter than we think. And when you look around and see the number of people who do stuff that they absolutely do not enjoy just to get some money….

….well, that’s messed up.

You can get money in about a billion different ways that are honest and ethical. And probably a few million of them are different kinds of fun for people.

Here’s what’s fun for me: http://ourbusinessoverview.com

And it lets me drive what I want to drive…..live where I want to live…..wear what I want to wear……shop where I want to shop…..travel where I want to travel and do it all with the people that I’m in love with.

Life doesn’t suck. Life is AWESOME.

It only sucks when you’ve chosen to spend it doing things that you dislike.

Stop doing that.

Be free.

Inspiration Mondays – One of the Most Memorable Turnovers of All Time

Who Will You Assist Today?

As Miami honors the Heat today with a parade, I’m thinking about another basketball team.

I’m not thinking about the Spurs.

I’m not thinking about the Lakers, or Bulls, or any other professional team.

I’m thinking about the Coronado High School Thunderbirds.

See why here:

I’d like to nominate that kid for an MVP. His selflessness in turning over the ball to Mitchel is one of the most memorable turnovers of all time.

As a coach, I know that I must be a leader, a BEACON for the possible. I know that I must convey a desire to excel, to win.

But most of all, I must be able to give an assist to the person that wants it and deserves it today.

How can I assist you?

Inspiration Mondays – Remember When You Were a Kid

Do you remember when you were a kid and thought that you could be anything you wanted to be?

An astronaut? A Fireman? A Doctor?

I wanted to be Mary Tyler Moore, or “That Girl.” Both of my idols were young, single, happy women who lived and worked in the “big city.” So what did I do when I graduated from college?

I took my young, single self to Manhattan and began my career.

Goal achieved.

But, like so many others, I lost my ability to dream, or create a new goal for myself. Life got in the way. There were jobs to do. Errands to run. Bills to pay. It wasn’t until my life completely blew up that I was jolted awake.

What the heck was I doing? Where did I want to end up?

I wanted to be an ENTREPRENEUR. I wanted to CHANGE THE WORLD.

When I forget that I can change the world, I watch this video.

Entrepreneurs can be anyone… including YOU.
Seize the opportunity to create the job you’ve always wanted.
Help heal the economy.
Make a difference.
But, most importantly, remember when you were a kid,
When everything was within your reach…

Then say to yourself, quietly, with DETERMINATION,

IT STILL IS.

Love,

The Power of Focus

It’s time… join me.

Inspiration Mondays – The Power of Focus

The Power of Focus Wasn’t With Me This Morning

As I’m writing this, I’m all over the place.

I sat down about an hour ago, fully intending to write this post. In the past hour, I’ve…

    • Checked my Facebook page,
    • Met With a new associate
    • Strolled over to my husband’s office to say “good morning,”
    • Answered a message on Skype,
    • Checked out my Empower Network “Pending Commissions,”
    • Called a friend,
    • Berated myself mentally for not finishing my meditation this morning
    • Cut up some cantaloupe and ate it
    • Checked my email

Do you ever experience this lack of power of focus and concentration?

I know… everyone does.

Nothing get’s done when we’re lacking focus. A lot of “busy work” takes place, but nothing actually gets accomplished.

The Power of Focus

But, here’s the best part. You can decide to take advantage of the power of focus right now. All it takes is that decision to “move forward, confidently in the direction of your dreams,” (Thoreaux).

An Inspiring Example of the Power of Focus

http://youtu.be/dnDeo0yhIws

Where is your focus? Is it moving you toward creating something as spectacularly moving as this example of beauty and a feather?

I would argue that your life is a thing of beauty. Live it. Live it large. But, concentrate, focus on moving toward the best life you can, because, as far as I know, this is the one life we have, so we better make it a great one.

Love,

The Power of Focus

I Just Got the BEST Phone Call

I just got the best phone call.

Today wasn’t really any different than any other day. I got up, had a little coffee, dialed into my team call… the usual.

I was sitting down, writing an email at my desk, and the phone rang.

Then the phone rang. I glanced at the caller id, and thought… hey, that number looks familiar!

On the line was one of my associates.

He wanted to tell me that he had just made his first sale.

Nice.

There’s not many things that make me happier than a new person making their first sale.

I’m doing the Snoopy Happy Dance! 🙂
